I decorate this sheet of wood

with a journal of my journey today

tastin' plenty of chocolate

drip into the Black Expo this Saturday

confirmin' my sweet tooth

that BBQ Sauce is "the truth"

plump popsicle suckers

rumps rockin' thicker than others

both are purposely poked out

every skirt, skin tight jean,

stretch pants or dress

y'all's hips seem choked out

leather strapped sandals with

rings around polished open toes

all Sistas so fierce

have got somethin' pierced

ears, tongue, or nose

styles of hair in braids, waves,

curls, fades, weaves, twists, locks, and 'fros

this Expo ain't nothin'

but a Beautiful BlacQueen fashion show

some sistas achieve the

child-size-sweet-‘n-petite

pony-tailed-head-to-six-inch

plastic-boosters-on-the-feet

or a kinte-cloth headress

Afrikan Ankh wearin' goddess

wrapped in all the Motherland's colors

not just Red, Blacque, and Green

but all the others

lookin' like Queen Hatshepsut

commandin' respect from the Brothas

then there are the ones

that make grown men shed tears

her outfit is askin' her,

"How'd all this shit get in here?!?"

the minute she walks in the place

you'll hear....."Gyot.......DAMN!!"

she'll have enough goods

to feed THREE people

with each serving equal

or just a hungry Brotha

with Wone appetite lethal

everything in her life is thick

"I'll have extra 'whateva' on that"

is her motto

and the main reason why

"BBQ Sauce is 'the lick'"

and I got it locked in a bottle
